Climate Change, Resource Use and Greenhouse Gases

Mitigating the effects of climate change on the natural, built and virtual infrastructure

Noblis helps federal agencies identify the nature, magnitude and likelihood of risks from greenhouse gases and other environmental impacts and actions. We help them mitigate those risks through innovations in remediation, resilience and sustainability as well as alternative decisions and investments. Our solutions help build energy security, reduce impact on the environment, mitigate the effects of climate change and use resources more efficiently.

Climate Change Vulnerability and Risk Assessment

Noblis uses data, innovation and collaboration to identify how climate change affects federal agencies’ missions, facilities and operations from climate change. We assess the energy security, environmental risk and supply chain interruptions facing our federal government clients and develop practical adaptation plans for federal agencies.

Sustainability Reporting and Climate Change Impact Analysis

Noblis develops sustainability reports for Department of Defense (DoD), and other agencies, with the largest carbon footprints and energy and water demands within the federal government. We bring our science, engineering and strategic thinking expertise to address challenges like sea-level rise and carbon emissions, to ensure sustainable missions and critical infrastructure.

Research and Development (R&D) Portfolio Management

Noblis has developed comprehensive strategies and tools for managing federal R&D portfolios. From proposals to demonstration projects to technology transfer, our portfolio management expertise leverages Noblis’ cloud-based grants management system, RunGrants®, which tailors to specific requirements, to ensure efficient and secure processes.

Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Management and Restoration

Noblis provides high-level technical expertise in planning, executing and evaluating PFAS management and restoration activities. As part of our internal R&D program, we have identified a potential PFAS destruction technology. We are developing and conducting a lifecycle assessment process for evaluating aqueous film-forming foam alternatives to ensure they do not pose adverse tradeoffs.
