Noblis Prioritizes Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Initiatives

ESG criteria help us measure our impact on the environment, in the community and overall governance of our organization. Environmentally, we measure our footprint and risk, including factors such as carbon emissions, water pollution and stewardship. Socially, we focus on diversity and inclusion, community relations and customer success. From a governance perspective, we implement best practices for initiatives such as hiring and onboarding employees, diversifying our Board and contributing to external organizations. Noblis is dedicated to prioritizing ESG initiatives to positively impact our organization, community and Nation.
Environmental
As a non-profit organization and one of the world’s most ethical companies, Noblis focuses on doing what’s right in every situation. With that, we have taken steps to formalize our ESG initiatives. We are aware of climate issues and impacts and are developing science-based carbon reduction targets and prioritizing our Noblis Sponsored Research ideation for climate innovations to continuously improve our global impacts.
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Data
We are working to set science-based reduction targets by 2025 and reach net-zero emissions by 2050. With this, we are committed to reporting our progress on these goals. The data below reflects Noblis’ emission data for fiscal year (FY)21 and FY22. GHG emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3) were calculated in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard.

Community Engagement
Each year, Noblis supports programs whose missions help eliminate hunger and homelessness, promote education and learning and improve the lives of veterans.
Making Blankets for Vets
Team Noblis leaders came together at our Reston office to serve those who have served by making blankets for veterans in palliative and hospice care. This opportunity was part of a program organized by Capital Caring Health and Volunteer Fairfax.

Governance
As a nonprofit organization working for the public good, Noblis views governance as an integral part of our foundation. Our leaders and employees operate with the highest level of ethical conduct and know that there are no strings attached to our thinking, no commercial interests to advance, no vendor alliances to protect and no sponsors to represent. We focus on what matters most—doing what’s right in every situation.
