Noblis Delivers Mission-Critical Infrastructure Modernization
Noblis delivered mission-critical infrastructure modernization that directly enabled a U.S. Navy Carrier Strike Group (CSG) to complete pre-deployment certification and maintain combat readiness. Responding to end-of-life platform risks threatening fleet availability, our engineering team orchestrated a comprehensive hypervisor and virtual environment upgrade in coordination with multiple NAVWAR and fleet stakeholders.
Technical Approach and Accelerated Delivery Model
The Noblis team collaborated directly with software vendor engineering teams to navigate complex technical dependencies while coordinating across Navy enterprise architectures and application owners. Customer collaboration ensured solution priorities delivered desired and achievable outcomes based on time constraints.
We compressed the lifecycle of this critical hypervisor and virtualization solution from the initial software and architecture design through operational fleet deployment, accelerating capability delivery and risk mitigations for the warfighter. Our fast-tracked process was able to accelerate software solutions via our Noblis San Diego Lab using rapid prototyping capabilities, government lab validation and verification, engineering approval workflows, and shipboard installation execution. Noblis hypervisor and virtualization experts guided customer solution delivery from inception to deck plate and delivered results that eliminated critical cybersecurity vulnerabilities, restored full operational capability, and prevented deployment schedule impacts.
Mission Impact
The modernization effort improved CSG operational readiness by:
- Eliminating critical cyber vulnerabilities in the virtualization infrastructure
- Restoring full operational availability for mission-critical systems and applications
- Preventing deployment delays during compressed pre-deployment timelines
- Maintaining combat readiness posture throughout the transition
This proactive infrastructure modernization demonstrates how strategic technology investments and accelerated engineering capabilities enable fleet operational readiness and mission success.
