Noblis Welcomes Stephen Frost Back to Noblis as Chief Data Engineer

In this role, Frost is evolving and leading Noblis’ data strategy, scalable infrastructure and related systems

On May 28, 2024, former employee, Stephen Frost, rejoined Noblis as Chief Data Engineer. In this role, Frost is evolving and leading Noblis’ data strategy, scalable infrastructure and related systems to drive the company’s strategic objectives, technological advancements and research initiatives while serving as a senior technical advisor to help scale distributed and open data architectures for our customers’ missions.

Frost has 30 years of technical experience with a focus on database design, management, performance analysis and administration. He is recognized as a major contributor and subject matter expert for the PostgreSQL project, an open-source relational database management system that emphasizes extensibility and Structured Query Language compliance.

Frost joins Noblis from Crunchy Data, a database-as-a-service company and PostgreSQL support provider, where he served as the chief technical officer and helped launch the most advanced open-source container orchestration system for automating, scaling and managing software deployment. Throughout his career, Frost has held multiple technical leadership roles, including15 years at Noblis, from 1997-2012, where he was instrumental in building our Innovation and Collaboration Center and data center for high powered computing.

Frost holds a Master of Computer Science from George Mason University.
