Environment
At Noblis, we recognize that protecting the environment must be integrated into all aspects of what we do as a society. In response, we have developed multiple tools to help federal agencies and businesses measure their carbon footprints, create carbon profile maps, and develop cost-effective, sustainable strategies for reducing their greenhouse gas emissions. Our tools take the guesswork out of making “green” investments and are empowering government officials and corporate executives to make cost-efficient, environmentally-sensitive decisions.
As the government grows greener, Noblis is at the forefront of environmental planning and policy making. We are working side by side with leaders from the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DoE), and other federal agencies to find cost-effective methods to address environmental and energy concerns and, more importantly, to help create policies that will drive environmental responsibility.
Some of the ways that we are using science and technology to help to create a sustainable future are:
-
developing tools to help government agencies measure their carbon footprints, lower their greenhouse gas emissions, reduce waste, and increase energy efficiency
-
identifying and assessing key chemicals that pose risks to the environment, the public, personnel, acquisitions, and operations
-
advocating early, proactive evaluation of potential risk issues associated with substances that find their way into our environment, medicines, and food supply
-
keeping environmental satellites operational and secure in the midst of advancing technologies and changes to satellites, instrumentation, and ground systems
A new approach for reducing the time and costs associated with integrating data systems
