Noblis’ BioVelocity Competes in the Final Head-to-Head Round of the Northern Virginia Technology Council Destination Innovation Competition

Noblis’ BioVelocity Competes in the Final Head-to-Head Round of the Northern Virginia Technology Council Destination Innovation Competition

BioVelocity competed for the honor of most innovative technology in the Health, Education, and Energy category

Destination Innovation, a program presented by the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) and The Washington Post's Capital Business, highlights technology advancements emerging from the Washington metropolitan area. Each year they hold a competition to find the companies with the most innovative technologies.

In the first round of the competition for the Health, Education, and Energy category, The Washington Post held an online poll where visitors could vote for their favorite out of eight companies. Noblis’ BioVelocity received enough online votes to become one of the top four category finalists. We then went on to the next round of competition, which included an exhibition and presentation at the Destination Innovation event on 29 April 2015 at The Washington Post  headquarters. In the end, BioVelocity went head to head with Kajeet (a company that helps bring internet connectivity to school children) for the top honor. Although Kajeet ultimately took first place, we are very proud to say that BioVelocity took second. It was a tough competition with extremely worthy competitors.
